Benefits

High in antioxidants and amino acids, specifically catechins, matcha green tea helps your body combat free radicals, which can cause cell damage and lead to various chronic diseases.

It can also play role in protecting your liver, which is essential for flushing out toxinsmetabolising medication, and absorbing nutrients. Antioxidants in matcha, specifically EGCG, can help shield the liver from the damage caused by oxidative stress and inflammation.

Thanks to its unique blend of ingredients, matcha tea is also known to enhance brain function. Its caffeine content has a slow release and can improve your focus and alertness, helping you stay sharp throughout the day, and giving you sustained energy without the jitters.

Drinking matcha regularly may also help lower your cholesterol levels, specifically LDL cholesterol, the so-called ‘bad cholesterol’. This is important because high LDL cholesterol is a risk factor for developing cardiovascular disease.

And of course, matcha is known to promote relaxation without inducing drowsiness, thanks to a compound called L-theanine. This combination of caffeine and L-theanine works together to sustain optimal cognitive function.
